 Subject: air flow from the box

i have two questions about the box and air flow on a 3.9 02 dakoda.
what is your opinion on the "Tornado Air System by Tornado Air" ? is there a benifit or not. need some real users input.
and..... if i remove the form fit intake hose from the factory air box, " the bent hose from the fender to the box" is there a danger of too much dirt or water going thru the K&N filter ?
if theres a link to these same questions, i apoligize for asking it again. please send me the link so i may read further.
