Subject: Can you get around o2 sensors? IP: Logged
Message: I do not have a catalytic converter on my truck, and I fear that my o2 sensors (if they are still functioning) are causing part of my low power/low gas mileage problems. (I'm lucky if I get 15mpg). I've heard that there is something that you wire in between the sensor and the PCM that tells the PCM not to take readings from the sensor. Is this true. If so, where can I get them? If not, is there a solution to this problem?

Message: That is most certainly causing your problems...you need something called an 02 sim I think. Not sure where to get it...search around a lil and you'll prolly find it.

Message: krc performance has something called the kat box. is will eliminate either just the downstream and upstream if you want, but they are different boxes(one for just the downstream, one for both). just put that on and your truck will think its working fine. krcperformance.com Steve
