I have a 97 4x4 Dakota SLT, and it's running hot, not really sure whats causing it, i can't smell any anti-freeze, i can't see any leaks except sometimes near the cap.
It'll run fine, till it hits the 200 mark, then the thermostat opens, and it drops down about 5 degrees, so I guess that means I have the regular 195 Degree therm. But after that, I'm guessing the therm closes back, and the temp gauge climbs up to the 230Degree mark.
I know it's not really hot, but to me that is really hot. Thats without running the A/C or the heater. and usually it starts happening after I stop at a redlight after the truck is warmed up.
I know these questions like this have been asked, but I couldn't find any real straight foreward answers.
