Woah, why are your plugs gapped at .60? Even with a high output ignition system thats way too big. For nitrous you want to run a .35 gap, but since you are running such a small shot it really doesnt matter.

If you havent spent the money yet, dont buy a "sneaky pete kit" get a full nx kit. For one thing the tiny sneaky pete bottle is only going to last you a few 1/4 miles runs and youd be hard pressed to feel the results of a 35 shot. You can barely notice a 50 shot, much less a 35.

I was advised by larry to step the gap up to .60 with the autolite AP3923's.

The thing is, all i really need is that little bottle. not to mention i am getting it for like $100 bucks, so it aint that bad of a deal

Yes but not when you use nitrous you need to
close them up when running nitrous.

dodgeboy,

Running the autolite AP3923 plat tip only plug
with the MSD 6a and one of there hot blasster
coils we are getting very good results at .060
plugs running nice and tan.

With a very noticeable performance increase but
they have to be indexd beween 11 and 1 o'clock
the optimal index is 1 hour towards the intake valve.

There is a swirl inside the cyl that blows right over
the tip of the plug, if the plug is aimed below 3 to 9
it has a bad effect actually splitting the big flame front
straight up noon or 1 hour towards int valve works
the best on the stock heads.

The head design has this flow pattern

I would also recommend indexing them from 11 to 1
o'clock almost straight up, propagating the bigger
flame front it should be done.

The squash gas is forced up onto the flat of the
head and having the plugs open end aimed straight
out helps a lot

Some say indexing don't do anything, some say it
cant hurt but could help

What I have also found on about 3 trucks we did
it to also got about a 1mpg gas mileage gain
and did seam to run smother overall

The .060 gap and index has a big effect with
the MSD system and all the trucks the plugs are
running nice and tan.

Try it without the nitrous and see what you think
6a and a good coil and wires, plat tip at .060
they run great but do need to be index with the
bigger flamefront being aimed into the center of
the cyl

Forgot to mention all these trucks are running
mid range fuel and have all the bolt ons TB
exh cold air 1.7's MSD 6a box's and all have the
same E Core Blasster SS MSD coil & MSD 8.5 wires
they are a few I set up and asked the customers
if they wanted to try an experiment with them

The stock 92 motor I am running is also set up
the same and it seams to run a lot smother after
indexing, I had to plugs aimed at the back of the
cyl so on my truck I noticed it imeditly it was
smother.

with reg or premium they lose gas mileage and
performance and all run good on mid range fuel
better mileage and perf.

There is a definite gas mileage increase I just
pulled 21.2 on a 130 mile trip in my 95 4X4
there is something there with the ign.

Yes the reg plug gaped at .035 will run a lot
better with nitrious

Don't try it with the AP's at .060 thats not a
good idea.

Index your plugs so that the open end is between
11 and 1 oclock it seams to smoth out the motors
overall running. up towards the intake.

You can buy a washer kit to do this I just used
diff washers from other plugs untill I got them
all indexed. It does help on these motors.

yes up towards the intake manifold between 11 and
1 o'clock

What I do is just file a little mark on the top
where the plug wire goes on, you can both feel
and see where the mark is and the open part is
aimed.

the ground electrode strap that is welded to the
plug should be down open end up towards manifold
with the MSD system and the ap's at .060 getting
some good resaults

I have a lot of plugs around so I just changed
washers form diff plugs and was able to do it
some washers I had to use a file on both sides
to knock it down a little to get where I wanted
to be, they sell a kit for like $10 to index

Most say it cant hurt but could help, let me know
what resaults you get

I had 2 aimed directly in the wrong position and
on my truck I noticed a smother run instantly.

The AP3923 MSD system and indexed does wonders.

Try it and let us know how it works I have 3
customer trucks indexed and they all say they
are running better, smother

see how your mileage and performance is with the
reg plugs at .035

They will run hot with the MSD at .035 give it
some time to learn and see how it runs read your
plugs
