Subject: I think i might need a new speed sensor

Message:
I have a 99 v6 dak and i think a new speed sensor will fix my intermittant stalling problems. I cleaned out the throttle body and all the sensors and the problem is still there.

Here's the thing though, i'm looking in my haynes manual and they say the speed sensor is only in the 97 models. Am I missing something here???

speed sensor is on the tranny for cruise.
TPS is on trottle body.

Get rid of the 3923 they stall at idle in park.

Yes I do have the 3923s... what would you suggest i replace them with? I searched on stalling issues and someone said on their '99 they replaced the speed sensor which helped, that's why i mention it. I'll try the spark plugs though, the're easy to fix.

What? I have a 99 Dakota with 3923 plugs and my truck doesn't
stall. How can a specific model of spark plugs be responsible
for vehicle stalling? As long as your plugs aren't fouled/
degraded/broken in any way they can not be the cause of your
problem.

Ok here's what's been happening.

When I start the truck in the morning, the idle seems to surge and when i put it from park to reverse, it stalls. This doesn't happen all the time just some of the time. To get the truck started i need to give it some gas while i turn it over.

I did just get a set of champion plugs at the stock heat rating but i did not install them yet. I have the autolite 3923 currently installed.
