Message: First let me start by saying I am a total mod newbie, so please bear with me if my questions are a little elementary.
I am thinking about this TPS mod, and was wondering if there were any disadvatages, ie. lower fuel mileage, etc.
Right now I am stock. Switching the T-stat soon, and the plugs to the Autolites 3923 or Bosch 4417. I am also going to get a flowmaster muffler, and a cool air intake. Anything I should do before the TPS mod, so I can take full advantage of its benefits? BTW, what are the benefits other than faster throttle response.

better throttle response and transmission reaction
time
nothing else needs to be done but start let idle
2 min shut off, start let idle 2 min shut off,
now start and drive this will let it learn the
new voltage for idle.
it may idle high on the first start

Message: I see the crank mod instructions say 2000 and newer. Anyone
done this on a 99 and older and been successful?
