Subject: Cant find front blower relay IP: Logged
Message: my heater recently stopped working and to fix it i need to know where the front blower relay is. I went to pep boys and advance autoparts for repair manuals but they only go up to 99 and my 3.9L 2001 dakota sport is the newer body style. in those books it says the relay is in the PDC...which i dont know what that means i assumed passenger dash compartment, but there is nothing there. the relay isnt in the power distribution box either. so i cant determine if i need a new switch or a new blower motor because i cant find the front blower relay. If you have any clue as to where it could be please let me know, it would be much appriciated.

Message: there is also a resistor on the blower for the dif
speeds should be out under the hood firewall or
right fender in that area
PDC power distrabution center
the resistor is usualy the first thing that goes
bad, a lot of times its just a bad ground to the
blower motor

Message: The blower resistor is mounted on the firewall
on the passenger side. A simple straight
screwdriver will get it out.
Mine was rusted out and lost connection so I
replaced it.

Message: The firewall is where the cab starts, open the hood that's the thing that covers the engine, at the very back is the firewall. The glove box is on the passenger side inside the truck where most people put papers and junk, kind of like a small box that closes.
Good Luck
