Message: As far as I know any 5.2/5.9 supercharger setup will work in the 3.9l with some minor modifying to the tube going to the intake from charger or intercooler... The main thing to worry about with the supercharger is your boost pressures...
You can only get the best performance from one after modifying pistons with dished designs, then you can turn that boost up to 10 to 20 "might want to be carefull here" and then you'll be making your hp with all benefits...
I think stock boost for these things is 6 to the upmost limit of 8psi :// Ok it's not the upmost but is the upmost safest with stock pistons and connecting rods...
Anyhow---

Message: so, if i got a blower for a v8, would it have to be for the same year as mine and i might just have to put a regulator on it and turn down the presure? would everything else fit prefectly, or atleast nicely? Thanks, Steve

Message: As far as I know you have to use the same year, and the tubes would be the only thing to moddify, BUT I don't know if your fuel pump replacement and everything would work with the v6... I have heard of people doing this, but have never done it myself and have only heard of the tube needing modifying??? Hope this helps a little...

Message: I HAVE INSTALLED THE VORTECH V2 SYSTEM ON MY V-6
DAK. WITH HEADERS, CAT-BACK, F&B 50MM T-BODY I GER ABOUT 340 HP AT THE CRANKSHAFT. TO INSTALL THE SYSTEM TAKES ONE WEEKEND. THE HARDEST PART IS THE WIRING. MAKING SURE THAT IT LOOKS GOOD AND TRY TO HIDE AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE. IT DOES DEFINATELY SURPRISE PROPLE!

Message: Big Dave, a couple q's about the eaton stuff. i just checked it out and there is no application guide so i was just wonderin if it will fit my 96? i also want to only go up to about maybe 6000 rpms and saw that the m112 goes a lot higher that that. so i guess that my q's are will it fit on my truck, which one it right for me, how much are they, and do they come in a kit so i can just bolt it up directly to my engine easily. thanks, Steve

Message: ok guys, ive found a blower that im thinking about maybe getting when im ready. its the powerdyne kit for the 96-99 dakota w a 5.2/5.9. it pushes 6psi so i will not have to worry about too much boost and for one of the best parts, it doesnt use any oil. its belt driven, which i understand can go out, but i figure it will be better than one with gears. and it only costs $2,618. well, if anyone has any insider info on this blower, please let me know, thanks. but, my mind isnt made up just yet, but wanted to share this with anyone else in my situation. Steve
