need some help i got a 97 dak 3.9, mods= msd box, 8.5 msd wires, raven muffler, cool air intake,3923 plugs, still cant spin the tires, it's prety quick, but i want to spin em and the only time i can is if the road is wet, stil i havent met a ranger or an s-10 i coulden bet but they can smoke there tires and i cant, looking for the one mod that is not too expencive, i need more power

if your truck won't do it then you ain't doing it right.
hold your left foot on the brake while putting your right foot on the gas.....hold the brake steady and slowly put on the gas but don't let it roll forward. When you get to about 1500 RPM it should start spinning.
all this works....IF you have an automatic, a manual is a different story.

Get you the 3.92 rear end gears, its much better and funner, i Noticed that if i want to smoke them by just puncing it, the engin has to be kinda cool, Get you a 180 t-stat, it might help.

or get smaller tires the S10 and rangers have smaller tires so its easier to spin

Man after i read this email i got hyped up and after i got out of work i was smoking my tires all night and went ahead and raced my friend and smoked him, love the 3.92 gears, my friends trip out beacuse it is a v6, Got to love it.

i think the jet gen 2 helps to spin the tires(I'm getting that next)
I've gotten a them to slip a bit a couple times, but I really can't spin them w/o power brakeing
I bet if u keep power braking and whore them down u could spin them then...lol

If you like to drag, smokin tires sux sounds like you are set up pretty good. Leave well enough alone carry a water bottle and gator bite that what i use to heat up the meat at the drag strip. Makes alot of pretty smoke.
