9,000 RPMs??? With a V-6 ? How much money you got in your
engine?
Bad throttle body sensors (TPS,IAC)? Broken return springs on
TB?

remove and clean your IAC with carb cleaner
back of Throttle body #20 or #25 torx bit needed
to remove.
do not push pull or turn on the valve and put a
little oil or grease on the o ring when you put
it back on to asure a good seal
Also check your TPS voltage drivers side of TB
center wire + and ground key on not running
should be between .35 and .75 volts open and
close the throttle a few times and be sure it
always returns to low volts
You may also have a vac leak visualy inspect all
the vac lines
