Check out www.crutchfield.com they have a good selection and
always a special going on. I prefer Alpine or Clarion head units,
had bad experience with defective Sonys. Just watch that total
harmonic distortion (THD) rating. Compare and get the lowest
value you can find, that will give you the cleanest sound. There
are even some decent values on Blaupunkts.

If you looking for just door speakers and rear speakers I would go with memphis. They have good sound quality and will sound good in a small regular cab like that.

You know a good secret? Do what they do with the R/Ts sound
system. They put little piezo tweeters on the plastic pillar where
your seat belt comes out of just above your ears. The door
speakers really lose their high end being mounted by your feet.
I got a set for $20 at Radio Shack and it really makes a
difference. These mount so they are fully exposed but they are
enclosed units.

I agree with Josh, I have memphis 5x7"s for my rear speakers and sony xplod 5 1/4"s for the doors...this is on an extended cab, but I also have a Visonik sub and 760watt sony amp, this is all run off a 180 watt JVC head unit...A real hodge podge of stuff but I have a nice sound going on...

Pioneer DEH-P47DH - 22 watt/ch rms mosfet output, 3 band parametric eq, and it's got a low-pass filter for the rear speakers (100Hz, 160Hz, or 250Hz cutoff) so you can basically turn your rears into subs without an external amp. I don't know how common this feature is with car decks but they all should have it. Mosfets are cleaner than bipolar transistors too. This thing blows away the 27 watt/ch rms Blaupunkt it replaced. Oh, and this deck is the oversized Chrysler fit so you don't need the ugly mounting kit. Crutchfield wants $250 shipped but I paid something like $180 from Etronics. If you want something cheaper, this is hard to beat:
Blaupunkt BPV 660 with free speakers and free shipping
