Apparently the ported/polished and the fancier billet TBs have more gain than swapping to a stock V8. I don't know that for sure, but that is the consensus. I swapped to a 99 5.9 V8 TB, and noticed great gains. You can find good deals on used ones through people who have upgraded to a billet, or you can order a new one through speedtweaks.net. You'll need a new V8 throttle cable too, which you can also get through speedtweaks, or through your dealer.
