Subject: Intake ? for Larry IP: Logged
Message: I have a 93 V6, I currently have a K&N filter in the stock intake, I was wondering if the K&N kit seen here http://www.knfilterchargers.com/search/product.aspx?Prod=57-1501
Would work better than the setup I have now.

Message: I'm not Larry but the K&N you are looking at will pull in hot engine air while having a K&N filter in the stock setup will pull more cold air allowing more HP to be produced. You do still have the tube hooked up to the area behind the grill right?
Just my $0.02 worth.
I hope this helps.

What you can do is get a K&N FIPK for a 97 or
newer V6 Dak and an air hat for a 97 or newer
Dak fron the bone yard and use there better setup
on the older trucks
The K&N for 92 to 96 is just a 14X3 round air
cleaner set up, is better than stock but the newer
setups are better yet
The tube and cone filter will draw cold air from
right in front of the fender well down hear the
fram and would work better.
