Subject: dynomax ?? IP: Logged
Message: I have a 94 v6 slt I want exhaust to sound good, not loud at all, just maybe a little deeper. A local muffler shop said to go with a single in single out dynomax. He said I will get more flow than flowmaster is this true, and what cat would be a good one?? not loud. From what i have read on these threads is flowmaster 50 series may be the way to go, not sure any advice would help. thanks

Message: I have a single in/out Flowmaster 40 series Delta Flow. It really improved power. Its very load outside the vehicle, but Delta Flow keeps the interior sound level down. I love it!

Message: Loud flowmaster 40
A little louder than stock
flowmaster 50 or dynomax 17748
2.5 in out single 2.5 tail and a carsound cat and
you will love the sound and no hum in the cab if
you like more sound go with the 40
All 3 of these muffs run great on the V6 Daks

Message: If you performance and a reasonably quiet exhaust you can go with the flowmaster 70 series. My son has the 40 series on his 92 dak and it sounds like his dak has a v8 with a radical cam instead of a v6.

Message: put my dynomax in today!! The sound is great a little throatier than stock especially at 1500 to 2000 rpm. Am I correct to say that the pcm will take a while to learn these new mods, because everytime I take a ride it seems to be more responsive. Homebrew cold intake way to go !!! Even looks good. Thanks all

Message: Eric, yes the pcm will take a good
200 miles to adapt to the changes.
Great choice on the Dynomax Super
Turbo. I have one on my truck right
now and it sounds great, nice low
rumble at idle and low cruising
speeds. It normally takes a couple
thousand miles to break in the new
coating.
It will sound far deeper after you
have put at least a few thousand
miles on it.

Message: My dynomax exhaust system really turns some heads.
I love it.
It is the 3rd muffler I have tried with my setup.
First was a cherrybomb turbo which was not too bad until the cheap thing blew out a month later.
Second was a Thrush glasspack and dear god what a mistake. It sounded like the truck had no muffler on at idle, rattled the cab terribly, and got me pulled over.
Finally I found this site and blam I had my dynomax a month later thanks to you guys.
It is not too loud, does not rattle the cab, sounds really cool after about 2000 rpms, and goin through town at 35 in 3rd gear with the system goin is a real good sound and feeling.
Thanks Dodge, Dynomax, and you guys.....
