Message: When I turn there is a popping noise coming from the front end. I thought it was ball joints but I jack up the front end and there’s know play in the ball joints. What else could it be? 2000 Dodge Dakota 54,000 miles.

Message: I vaguely remember a conversation about dealerships replacing the lower end of the steering column to eliminate this problem. Can anyone elaborate a little more on ths subject?
