Subject: 89 dakota problems IP: Logged
Message: I am having problems with my 89 Dakota. It will just die going down the road, usually after running for at least 20 minutes. It will start back up anywhere from immediately to 10 minutes. Sometimes when it starts back up the engine will surge and then almost die until I turn the ignition off and restart it, then it runs fine. On cold days the time that it takes to restart is alot longer. I have replaced the fuel filter and the ignition coil. Any suggestions????
