Subject: some thoughts on the black magic 150 fan IP: Logged
Message: Well I just installed it. Had to fabricate two brackets to secure
the top of the fan. Wired it up just like they said to and I think I
got a bum thermostat in mine. The knob you turn on the top of
it never makes the fan turn on to cool the radiator. Only when I
operate the fan knob in the passenger compartment will the fan
come on at the radiator. Seems to cycle 15 seconds on then off
and repeats. I drove around for awhile and with the fan not
running it never got to 210, so I'm not concerned about over
heating. I don't mind using the fan in the passenger
compartment to run the radiator fan if need it. Other than that
it's a solid little unit. My butt dyno doesn't measure any
difference but I did reset the computer too.

Message: For a 99' dakota v6, what would be the best electric fan out there to run on it??? One that turns on with or around tstat opening and one that is easy enough to wire up...
Any thoughts???
Thanks,
Greg
