I have an 99 Dakota Sport. I am looking to take out my 3.9L and put in a 5.9L engine. Has anyone done this before? If so I was wondering what all would be needed to be done. The truck is a 5 speed. Any info would be great!!!
I am new to this site so if this has been covered some where then just point me in that direction thanks.

Do a search for engine swap. Everything I have read says trade for a v8. It has been said that the swap is more costly than trading up.
