Message: My truck seems to be quicker before it reaches operating temps. Could this be due to a bad o2 sensor? Because the pcm doesn't get a reading from the o2 sensor before it gets to op temps?

Message: it's because your motor hasnt gone up to temp yet.. so the air inside it is not as hot, so it's more dense. Also, that makes your IAT read cooler air, and change the fuel curve and advance the timing some.
that's why some relocate their IAT

Message: it is because you are in open loop, meaning the computer is working off a set of tables rather then input from the various sensors that input into it. the ait signal is ignored until the water temp reaches a certain range.

Message: The O2 is ignored in open loop... not the IAT. I have run a scanner on my truck during open loop and it read the IAT just fine.
and yes, in a cold motor, the air is much more dense... tighter air molecules equal more air.

Message: so the o2 could be a reason why it seems to bog down more once up to opp temps?
think its gone bad? I mean it only does it some times.

Message: Isn't the mixture a tad richer during warmup? Coupled that with a cooler intake charge would tend to perk things up. Seems you've all touched on this, but you're wanting to say it's one part, when it's actually the combination that makes it so obvious.
