This site is great!!!!!!!!!!
I blew my 94, and I am in the process of swapping to a 96 with only 73,000 on it. I have a 5.2 tb from a 95, this should work right?? I also have the basic bolt ons, would love to do 1.77 rockers and headers, but dont have the money now. What I want to know is there anything to look out for on this used motor, I am going to check the timing chain first thing in the morning, and put a double roller and a tensioner on if need be. e fan from junk yard?? keep posting Im learning

If you want performance then you might consider a rebuild first. It won't be long before the engine is at 100k. The tb will fit. What happened with the other motor?

I first looked into getting a reman long block and switching everything over, but after pricing all the parts i would need plus some bolt on mods it was over 2 grand. So i went with a used motor, found locally, and a bunch of other parts i needed for 650.

The old motor had 155,000 with 6 bent push rods, had to do something. Anyone know where I can get used 1.7 rockers, or are they out there for a good price?? I dont want to rag on it I just want some more performance. Just wanna do the right mods for the right price, while the motor is easy to work on. Email at EAORMSBY@MSN.COM if you have anything I might be interested in. I live in florida where the old people look at you funny when u you pass them.
