Subject: push rods IP: Logged
Message: Planning on doing the roller rocker mod and am wondering because I haven't seen anything in past threads, do I need to put in new push rods? If so, anyone recommend anything besides what the dealer sells? They are only $3.50 each from the dealer, I was expecting them to cost a fortune.

Message: about 30 years ago my ol man worked at a Chrysler parts plant, he watched the production line make Richard Petty's push rods that were just a regular production run but they were matched as to over-all length, If factory production is good enough for the King, they sure as heck are good enough for a street machine.

Message: No the stock push rods will work just fine and
are some very strong units.
When you do the rollers just pull 1 out and take
a look they are not el-chepos but nice and heavy
hardend steel
