Message: I am from the south bitch!
if you lowered it you be defeating the purpose
of the 4x4, moron. Since it will be lower to
the ground it will get hung up on more shit
a hell of a lot easier.
do your self a favor, trade in your dak for
a rav4 and lower that to your fagget ass is
content. You fucking yankee bastard from
NY.

Message: you bumazz, the guy wants a hiway cruiser that will run in snow and ice, not a hog chasin wallow flopper! since you is from down south you best not rag on people when you have NO experience driving in 4-10 inches of snow! until you do get that experience SHUT UP! another moron has crawled out from under his rock and posted under "hick" the first sound he makes when he awakens from a white lightning stupor!
now for the answer:
you may be able to lower the rear by going with 2wd rear springs, a bud of mine from work has a late model 4X4 and I got a 2wd and the rear springs are a bit different. The front can be lowered by cranking down the torsion bars, but if you do, the front canmber will have to adjusted if you go far enough.

Message: If you drive a lowered 2wd in the new york snow...you're just gonna have your back wheels spinning while not going anywhere. If you drive a lowered 4wd in the snow, you're going to go the same distance except you'll have all 4 tires spinning.

Message: Why lower? Fill your fenders with big rims, and an aggressive treaded tire. I've seen a couple of dakotas with MB Motoring rims, they look good. FK everyone who criticizes, I hear the same sh*t about raising a 2WD. If you must lower it, do the torsion bars, because it is a mild drop, therefore you aren't pushing as much snow around.

Message: Exactly.
I can't stand anything below 60 degrees.
Who would want a winter with snow and ice?
I like being outside and freezing weather is not my weather of choice.
