Message: Was it a quicky oil change place that did it? That's exactly why I change my own oil. Same thing happened to a friend of mine. Bastards. You could always change the whole damn pan/drill it out?

Message: You will probably need to use some thing like this.(see link)But,if you can't even get vise-grips around it.I'm not sure, if this will solve your problem either.

Message: I,m sorry to hear of this i went through the same thing with a 63 falcon. One thing to try if thier is still enough of the the head left try drilling a hole in the side of the head of the plug and insert a hardened steel rod into the hole or all the way through and use the bar as a T-handle. Watch you're nuckles! Next thought if you don,t have a set of thies might want to think about bying a set stripped bolt removers they look like a socket but inside the socket are a set of curled splines they wind on the bolt and then you put the wratchet on them and wind the socket back off and out comes bolt or the plug in you're case. They are sold at sears for about $50.00 the set works for american, metric and some british standard. Hope this helps out!

Message: You could drill a hole in the plug and use an easy out to remove the plug. Make sure you drill in the center of the plug so that you don't damage the threads on the pan. Also, I would try not to drill all the way through the plug so that you don't get any shavings in the pan.
Good luck.

Message: if you can manage to get the old plug out, there are repair kits available to fix it, I think JC Whitney carries them.

Message: go to sears and ask for a "bolt out" It is a fairly new tool they have that will go over the head of a rounded over bolt, as you turn it with a common 3/8 drive ratchet it will cut into the head slightly and take it right out. Just get the one that will fit the plug, it should work like a charm.
