 Subject: LSD worth it

I have a 2001 QC 1 wd and want to go to 2wd I do most of my driving on the road. But i do occassionaly do some light off roading and i am afraid of getting stuck and i want to put a LSD on but i want to know if its worth it and how much it should cost with installation.
