Subject: to tach adapter or not to tach adapter IP: Logged
Message: is the tach adapter really needed with a msd6a?
I do get the p0351, but it doesn't bother me.
will i not see full potential of the 6a and blaster ss if i dont use the tach adapter?

Yes get the adapter your comp will never reach
peak operation throwing the code.
It will noy effect the output or operation of the
MSD system but the computers learing ability will
be effected

I also read about it a little more, and bernd says it does not hurt the performance of the 6a in this post

Message: It will to a point after 1 start not throwing the
code it than will resume learning and readjusting
tables.
What happens is it goes to the last known tables
and runs the motor when the code comes on.
Its not that noticeable
