Uses more gas and not much else.
If you want power you should have got a V8. Oh well, too late.

u will notice more get up and go! wont be a race car but u will notice it, if you are going to do the tb u should also do the air intake as well relocate the ait sensor into the intake tube and put a low restriction muffler on it..i did this and gain a noticable amount. i paid 65 for my body, ( i havea new cable if any 1 is intersted never used, ill sell for 15+ shippin) 40 for my muffler, and 40 for my pvc pipe and filter.

Well about two months ago i put this v8 tb
on and did not notice a difference....about a
month ago with like 1000 miles on it i raced
my friends s10 4.3 auto and still lost the same
but not by much.....yesterday i raced him and
we were dead even all the way from 50 -95
and he only got on me about .1-2 feet in front
so i dont know if it made a diff but i know
something happened.....but it should never
take more than 100 miles to completely learn
the new body!

Its all about consistancy or lack of it. Some V6s respond like a mutha to the tbs while others don't. Fortunately, mine responded very well to the Fastman 46.

How much and where can u get the V-8 tb? Does it effect the low end torque at all for the V6? I've heard that it can, yet why wouldnt the factory use the same one as the V-8 if it made such a difference? what u think fellas?

By the way i have the 360 9 inch K&N performance air filter that came with a air intake system i bought, and i also have the super 40 flowmaster exhaust that just came out (The best sound I have heard on the V-6 dakota, even just the plain 40 series flowmaster doesnt sound near as good). But i was wondering if having those 2 mods would help the TB ( if i got it) even more.. thanks

i was talking to my boss about this at work one day, and he said that it could possibly make the engine run rich, if i get a V8 tb. im not really sure what to do. do they make a high flow tb for the 3.9 V6?

is not right:
the fuel air ratio is controlled by a computer and fuel injectors based on inputs from 02 sensors, IA temp sensors, MAP sensors and a few others, and thottle position sensors not by the volume of air entering the intake manifold. I guess your bos must be one of the idiots that got promoted to the level of his incompententcy.
