Message: Must be a over-enthusiastic right foot, it loves to tromp on the gas pedal. Maybe it's a new type of addiction, let's call it trompitis.
Trompitis: The satisfaction received by rapidly pushing down on the gas pedal, getting thrown back in the seat and hearing the sound of squealing tire and the smell of burning rubber. If gasoline runs in your veins, the incidence for addiction to this condition is higher than the general populace.
Recommended course of action: No cure can be found for this condition. Contact the manufacturer and request a stronger throttle cable be made, possibly reinforced with Kevlar.

Message: Larry here is an update on trompitis, I placed calls to the University of Washington Medical Center and Virginia Mason Medical Center here in Washington, They quickly teamed up with highly trained and experienced medical specialists in many fields. After further analysis, it was determined that trompitis could be accurately diagnosed by breaking this condition down into 3 separate categories.
Mild Case of Trompitis...Trompitis-Slightus
Moderate Case of Trompitis...Trompitis-Moderatus
Severe Case of Trompitis...Trompitis-Severitis.
Both medical facilities were willing to research this newly discovered condition if Congressional Funding could be secured. They suggested I call a few medical Lobbyist's in Washington DC and begin pressing Senators and Congress for immediate funding.
As a stop gap measure, the University of Washington Medical Department would contact the Center for Disease Control-CDC in Atlanta and alert them to this newly discovered condition. With the outbreak of SARS, they were highly concerned about a nation wide outbreak.
Fellow Dak owners beware, the severity of this condition is directly proportional to number of modifications to your truck.
Larry, I think you case is beyond hope, you be quarantined by the CDC.
