Message: I just got through running my truck in 45 degree weather. I got engine warmed up good til it was blowing hot air from the vents and decided to open up the throttle a little bit. When I gave it some gas in 2nd gear, at about 23000rpm its like it went to neutral and then redlined. I let off the gas and babied it and drove fine.
I kept driving around to warm up the tranny then made a 100mph run and everything was smooth and no problem after that. I just want to know if anyone has experienced this and how long er will the tranny last or should I adjust my kickdown band(I adjusted per Haynes specs last summer and have had this cold shifting problem since. Thanks

Message: Try turning the adjusting bolt back in 1/4 to 1/2
turn.
You may have used the wrong specs or backed it off
to far.
Just snug on the adjuster bolt than back off the
requiered amount off turns.
Having this prob since you adjusted tells me its
backed off to far
