I'm glad I bought when I did, these new Rams and Dakotas and Durangos look fugly. Just my opinion though. They had nice smooth rounded lines now they are starting to look more and more like the Fords that started mimicking the Rams and Dakotas when they first came out.

I have a 94 Dakota and love the looks. The gen three is nice looking also, just like the older ones. This newest one seem to be trying too hard to fit in with the rest of the manufacturers. When did Dodge start caring about that?

Actually the general public who doesnt really give a flying f#ck what theyre vehical looks like will eat that truck up. That will make our trucks loose their value. I dont care if it does or it doesnt because Ive already lost a crap load of value by painting the inside and putting a stiff hotchkis kit on it. The only person im gonna be able to sell my truck to is some kid who wants a flashy ride.

I hink its alright, I mean it does mimick the fords a little, but what really pisses me off are the rims, there 5 lug I like our 6 lug even if there harder to find rims for. oh well.

hey where did you hear that it will have the HEMI. from the link that tazzy posted it will not have a HEMI option but a HO 4.7. if that is the case then I believe the new dakota will not sell as dodge hopes for it to do. if I was to replace my current dak with a new one I would not settle for anything less then a HEMI.. i suppose we will have to wait and see when its in the showroom.

finally got rid of my dak after 14 months of hell,,2002 dak traded for a chevy silverado,,best thing i ever did..ill never own another dodge..gas mileage sucked,trans wwent out at 12000 miles,poping in the front from day one..best of luck to all you guys with yours

heh. i must be very lucky *knocks on wood* cause my 02 dak has yet fallen apart on me and with the way i drive it, plus 35000 miles in one year. it still runs strong. to each his own i suppose.
