Message: Companies claim to improve the life of the trans because the shift kit increases the fluid pres. This decreases the "over-lap" between gears. That over lap tends to be favorable with school teachers, grandmothers and frail little old men that don't want to spill their coffee. That over lap also wears on bands or clutches. eliminating this over lap causes sharp, tire chirping shifts and, hense, saves the tranny forever.....I've personally destroyed every kit toting tranny I've ever owned, well, thats only two.
