Subject: Front End Noise IP: Logged
Message: I have a 2000 Dodge Dakota V-6 with slightly over 50,000 miles. I am starting to hear some front end noised when I make sharp turns. I think I read somewhere that the upper ball joints usually go bad. Any checks I can perform to check out this problem? Any fixes? I wish those ball joints had grease fittings.

Message: Yes they are known for bad ball joints, replace
with moog they also have a grease fitting
You can jack it up and try to move the wheel in
and out from top to bottom to check for play
