Message: I had a stage 2 chip on my '99 V6 and I had no changes in any way (performance/mpg).
I ended up selling it and doing the IAT/180* T-stat and have been way happier with the performance.
Take it from someone with experience, don't waste your money!!

Message: IAT relocate and the crank sensor mod will do the
same thing a Jet chip will for free.
The Jet chips are a hit or miss some work some
don't, worth the $230 they charge for them in my
opinion not worth the money and there claims are
way off maybe 5 or 10 hp not the 25 to 50 they
say.

Message: I put a stage 2 on my 99 and It helped a bit in the midrange for $200 IMO it's not worth it maybe 75 to 100. I also did the relocate and 180 thermo, added a little more but the best mod so far was the cranksshaft sensor mod, helped all across the board...Btw I still run 87 octane after all those mods.

Message: "the sensor that uses the intake air temp to adjust fuel and spark. ever notice how your truck seems to run better when you first start it up? that's because the intake temp is cooler at that time. by relocating it from the hot air inside the intake after warmup, you will get that "better" felling all the time. i did it to mine and it was a very noticable difference. if suprised me because it was something so easy and logical." From Intense
"all you have to do is take the sensor out of the manifold, drill a hole into the intake tube and stick the sensor in the whole. i hear silicone works good so it wont fall out. then plug the hole in the manifold where you pulled the sensor from.
when you are looking at the engine from the front, the sensor is on the passenger side nearest to the fan. it has a brass fitting on it" From kota on 20s
