Subject: Computer mods to 3.9 IP: Logged
Message: I have a 2003 CC 3.9 2wd with auto and posi. I was looking into changing the chip or getting a Superchip programmer. Any advice of what will give the best result? Also will any of these change the shift points, my truck seems to shift gears why too soon instead of letting it rev.

Message: Go for the microchips super tunner its a great
upgrade and also doubles as a diagnostic scanner
You can change your shift points by adjusting the
TV linkage and TPS voltage.
The lower gears are controlled mainly by the cable
lockup and O/D are controlled mainly by the comp
TPS voltage and load, MAP sensor
Playing with these will allow you to tweak the trans just
the way you want it.
