I had a shop install a trans cooler..
after that I noticed the tranny acting wierd..
Well today I had time so I got under the Truck to look...
Hell he had one of the hoses bent 90 degrees (cant be good)
So while trying to get that fixed..the cheap ass cooler they used one of the conections broke off...
So Now it is just connected to the RAD...
Will test drive it later..
But A 90 kink in a line has to cause trouble....

Sounds to me like you need to find a better shop
to do your installs,

chocking off the coling line would make you trans
run hot and act weired, it will effect the presure

They are about the same, just remove the linkage
making a note of how it was on, unplug the 1 plug
on the side by the linkage and use the wire to
hold the body while the rest of the fluid drains.

There is only 1 valve that will come out with the
body and can only go in 1 way so it would be
imposible to put it back in wrong.

The only bitch is poping the park rod back in just
give it a quick hard push and it will pop in.

The rst of the work is all done on the body while
its out.

If you do turn up the presure you will need to use
the resistor supplyed with the kit or you will
get a mil light for gov presure to high.

The kit comes with a vidio you can pop in your
VCR and watch it a few times.

Just go street strip not full race, you can get
the TransGo or the Mopar kit from dealer both are
made by TransGo.

Just change a few springs, replace the shift valve
with the new one supplyed and you need to grind a
grove in 1 valve, drill 1 hole and not sure on
yours but there is an orfice to install on some
modles than reasemble.

I would also change the filter unless you just did
recently

Just take your time its not that bad.

I just posted there 2

I would go with the crowers hard steel Alm has a
tendency to strech over time.

Don't know about the belt # usualy they will tell
you with the pully what you need

As a matter of fact I have a 1976 cordoba with a
360 2.76 gears sitting out in the car yard

The body is shot, good trans and motor and the
front spindles will pop right on the older b
bodies to convert them to front disc

It was one of my mothers cars and got real good
gas mileage like 23 24 mpg

Hi Guys,
Can't help getting in on this one.

Good ol' Cordoba's.
I had a 79 360, Silver with Dk Red 1/4 v top & Dk Red Interior. Sure was a beauty. It was the newest car I had ever had back then. It was 4 yrs old and had 54000 on it when I got it. I sure loved it considering I got it cause my tranny went out in my 70 Charger R/T and I needed a fast replacement. Big change from the 440 mag.
Tazzy, you said it right, "Was a great highway car", I think thats what I really loved about it. I'm still wondering how I never got any tickets on the hwy in it. That thing loved to cruise at 85-90, I think the limit was only 55mph during that time.
Anyway, it ended up blowing an intake gasket and catching fire on me around 160000. Got a brand new car and had it towed off. I really missed that car for a long time. Was a awesome car for having kids in carseats in too, LOL.

Diane's 88 Dakota [MOPAR RULES...other's... well, you know]

Tazzy, do you remember where the site is that you made your profile icon? I remember going to the comedy central site a few months ago and they had a 'build your own character' page that looked pretty sweeet. I'm assuming thats where you got your icon.

Thanks
Geoff
