Subject: Mod V6 TB IP: Logged
Message: Does anyone have a modified V6 throttle body from Hughes Engines? What are the gains? Give me any good and bad information on them. Thanks ahead of time for anyone that helps.

Have run the 46mm fastman and F&B I can say those
are both excellent bodies
Average gain is around 15 HP some less some more
depending on the condition of the motor and how
well everythig else is working.

Message: Forgot to mention the Hughes body is 50mm but the
bores in the V6 manifold are only 48mm you can
open them up but on a stock V6 it will be to much and
you will lose some low end.
cam or the 1.7's and ported heads you would see
better gains and a free flowing exhaust.
If you open up the bores and run 50mm you need
to have a little more done to the motor to handle it.
