lol,
on my way back to work from lunch, I lined it up with what looked to be a 2000 taco all lowered with I'd say 18" rims,euros and an exhaust system.
light turned green, we both punched it.... I got the jump and was pulling away when I hear his rice like muffler start to scream(at about 65mph or so). The taco then slowly starts gaining on me and gets about half truck till we were like at 80 or so....
Thought I had him, he must of got scared and hit the juice. what a puss.. lol

I'm almost 40 so can you clue me in to what a Taco is? Is this a Toyota made in Mexico?
I thought a Taco was a euphemism for a muff! According to Redd Foxx!

a taco is just a Tacoma.
Sic, i had to tell ya this, but if he had nitrous, i doubt that he would of used it till he was rolling 65 mph.
If it was one of those S-Runners... they can be fast.. hell factory 14 second trucks with the factory s/c.

so intense your saying he didn't have the juice? are you saying my truck had him in the low end, but he beat me in the high end? because i had him from the jump till around 65 when he took off.

My sister has an 03 4Runner with the TuRD super charger on it, it has a pretty big lag time to it.
Off the line it dont feel like much but after it gets rolling you can hear the Hamster commin on and it pulls good.
Very possible the Taco boy waited to see how fast you were before he juiced it also possible he had a TuRD lurkin under the hood. Either way....you got a rice spankin. lol
You may see him again, I think its time for a purty GO button!!

Any of you guys know any good sites/posts where I could get info on how exactly nitrous works in our trucks and how to install a nx kit? I don't plan on doing it....yet, but it'd be a nice upgrade when I'm a bit older.

The NX kit is by far the safest, cheapest (was a lot cheaper when I bought mine though) and easiest of em that I know of.
There site give quite a bit of good info, check em out.

Ahhh....as Intense pointed out, "takes a few beers". Dont forget that step or it WILL NOT FUNCTION PROPERLY!! lol

The risks are as follows....
1: you could go sideways depending on your shot.
2: you could beat that rice real good and get a name as a bad ass fast Dodge in your town.
3: you could get your Dak impounded because you find the rush from a V8 (again depending on shot size) like powered V6 Dak is addicting.
4: you could simply have a silly ass grin each and every time you drive your Dak and people sitting at stop lights next to you think your on meth. :-D

I have never known anyone to be happy with the sneaky pete system.
IMO, there expensive for how linited they are, the bottle running out all the time will be a big pain.
The only positive side I have seen to a SP system is the small bottle consealablility but with that you only get a few decent shots out of it.
If you get SP you will realize how much fun N2O is and you will wish you spent a few hundred more on a NX full system.
Just my .02
