Yes I do have a lot of friends who call and stop
over all the time if for nothing else just to
have a cup of coffee and shot the bull.

When I was younger I loved the cold now it gets me
I just stay where its warm no ice fishing or
snowmobileing for this boy anymore. burr that's
cold stuff.

It has not changed me I am still the same person
I always was.

Sounds like a little Arizonia Sunshine might be good therapy or a good hot tub now and then. My knee's hurt at times, but I'm sure that's nothing like your back. Larry, Thanks a million times over for all you advise and expertise. Everyone who visit's here owes you a great debt of gratitude for all the information you have provided. You have certainly been an inspiration to me. I think I caught DAK-ITUS FROM YOU.

Yea, traffic suck.

I used to drive from my house here in Hermann to work just outside St. Louis, 74 miles. It took me 55 min. to 1 hour and the last 5 to 10 would be in quite heavy traffic. Some people up there will only have to drive across town in the traffic and it will take them almost the same amount of time it took me. A person I worked with only had to go about 12 or 14 miles and it would take him 40 to 50 min. every morn. Only difference really was the fact I was putting more miles on my vehicle, but Hwy miles, not the wear & tear he did everyday.

I put 110,000 miles and many oil changes on my 97 Caravan Sport the first two years I had it. That's a lot of driving. It's got 131 on it now, but the thing of it is, it's still like a brand new van. And they thought I was crazy, LOL.

I grew up in St. Louis County. Was pretty much how you described your area, Wadak. There's no way in hell I'd ever move back, the way it is now days.
But, I definitely respect what you are saying. My ex moved back and it was a small part of why we got divorced. He hated driving back and forth. He talks about how much he hates the traffic now, tho. So, it's just a matter of which you'd rather do basically. Nothing wrong with either choice. I love to drive and love that open road feeling, which, I get living out here (I speed everywhere, lol). A lot of the roads are curvy too, which is very fun for me.

I get pissed just sitting in traffic for very long, changes my mood real fast. Plus, it's so nice to see (hit) the wildlife out here and the scenery is beautiful. It's well worth 30 to 60 min. to go shopping if I can't get what I need close by and I always look forward to the drive.
Maybe when you retire you can find your dream place.

One of my sons live in Denver, I love CO. but only get to go a couple times a year.

Sorry to rattle on. Your fault, Wadak!

Sorry to hear about you other guys health problem too, and your wife John. My boyfriend has a problem with his lower spine where they fused the vertebrae's together. He go go goes all the time, and is in pain a lot, but won't let it get the better of him. He's a very stubborn person. I worry he'll be an invilid someday and I don't know if he could take not be able to go all the time. I've almost got him taught how to relax for a little while, playing card games on the computer, fixed my old one up for him to learn on.
It sure in hell is no fun to get older is it? All our past injuries catch up to us in one way or another. Wadak, I'm with you on the knee thing. Glucosamine/Chondrotin Supplements are the ticket. Can tell when I get off them for awhile as well as my other supplements. Sports are fun, but are they worth it? I'll know the answer to that in, say, another ten years or so. Missouri isn't to good for joint problems either. You can sure tell when the weather is going to change.
Over 40...That must be why they call it over the hill, cause you start falling down(apart)on the other side.

We could all move to Arizona with Larry, LOL.

Larry, you would think in this day and age, they could do more for degenerative arthritis. Donnie's mother has it, so I know how bad it can be. I definately feel for you.
