Subject: water in cold airitake??

i want to buy or build a cold air intake for my truck. the problem is im woried that when i go hunting or just want to play with the 4wd that i will get water in it because once in a while i get it in the air box (i have to cross a brook to get to my spot)if i just go easy in the water will it be ok ???

Don't know what year your truck is but most cold
air setups are at about the same height as the
origanal pick up tube.

The oiled cotton gause filters will not let water
through to a point a splash here and there will
not hurt them and even with a 1/4" of dirt over
them will still out flow a paper filter

Should be fine as long as you don't try to drive
through any lakes LOL
