I have a weird problem on my 98 Dakota. It has 71000 miles on it and last week when I started it I noticed this ticking/squeaking noise coming from it. When I step on the clutch pedal the noise goes away all together. But it comes back after I take my foot off the clutch again. I had a mechanic look at it and he's thinking it's the throwout bearing. Any ideas?

I have a 93 V6 with a manual tranny and just noticed the same thing. My tranny has 195,000 miles on it. It only squeaks when the clutch is in the process of engauging/disengauging. Also sometimes at low speeds, it will squeak. Sounds like its comming from the rear of the vehicle. Any ideas?

My 93 4x4 "pops" out of second gear all the time, unless under load, it also pops out of fifth. In second or fifth, when I coast it pops out of gear? Any recalls????
