Message: I have a weird problem on my 98 Dakota. It has 71000 miles on it and last week when I started it I noticed this ticking/squeaking noise coming from it. When I step on the clutch pedal the noise goes away all together. But it comes back after I take my foot off the clutch again. I had a mechanic look at it and he's thinking it's the throwout bearing. Any ideas?

Message: I have a 93 V6 with a manual tranny and just noticed the same thing. My tranny has 195,000 miles on it. It only squeaks when the clutch is in the process of engauging/disengauging. Also sometimes at low speeds, it will squeak. Sounds like its comming from the rear of the vehicle. Any ideas?
