My truck is a reg cab sport with the 3.9L, no power options, I have a second set of driving lights under the bumper, and Infinity Sound. Otherwish I don't have much more that would take away from the alternator. I am having the ASP 3 Pulley Set put on my truck. Do you think that I will need a new alternator that puts out more amps at lower revs/speed? Or will the stock alternator be ok? I don't want to drain the battery.

I have the ASP 3 pully set and on warm dry days it is just fine. On wet nights with the lights, wipers, turn signal and stop lights on it falls off but it is not like the engine dies or anything. The turn signals slow down as well as the heater fan. Once you are moving again it is fine. The ASP pullies give you more hp as a fact. And on these little V6's they help.

As long as you do not drive a lot in the city
they work ok
They do give you about 10 ponies
