I have heard results from several people with different vehicles...It's a piece of tin not worth the $60.

I put one in the Dakota and did see a slight milage increase. Performance you can hardly tell considering I have a 3.9 Club Cab. Jim's right that it is just a piece of tin, but if you plan on keeping the truck for awhile and do end up with a 2 mile per gallon increase like I did, then it pays for itself and a little bit more also.

I have a 93 Dakota with a 3.9. I went from 19 to 22 miles per gallon. I also have a drop in K&N. It's got 183,000 on it. I do over 300 miles on a topped off tank. I have always did this with Shell gas too. In my opinion it does work, performance gain, non really noticeable.

It did wonders for my truck, but of course I've got a cold air intake and helix bore throttle body spacer as well, so this really took advantage of previous mods... I haven't checked fuel milleage, but I do know that with this it'll keep you back in the seat a little better on take offs...

As far as expense you can get them from Nukethehut off of ebay for anywhere from $20 to $50 depending on how bad the other person wants it and he will ussually sale lots of them at a time... So all in all I give it a thumbs up ;))

I have a 93 dakota with 143000 miles on it. I put a tornado on this truck at about 90,000 miles. I went from 18 or 19 mpg to 22 t0 24 mpg. This is the only thing that i have done for fuel economy. Gets better milage than my 2003 Vue.

Do you have the v6? I surprised your getting that much of an increase. Most people who have posted here before saw very increase.

so far we have 6 count them, six suckers that believe that crap about the tornado, it is 70 cents worth of aluminum they are charging these guys 60 bucks for, the only 'milage" they are getting is due to a softer foot on the pedal in their attempt to "proove it works". like the old lady in the comercial that owns a little bitty underpowered compact car that claims the one she has caused her mechanic to get a speeding ticket. Hog wash. his lead foot did, afterall he drives so many cars he should be able to control the speed of any one he gets into. twisting air out side the combustion chamber does nothing to mix the fuel that is injected into the air stream a mear inch from where it burns. too much happens in the .0075th of a second that the injector squirts durring the intake stroke at 2000 rpm for one of those things to have any effect on an F.I. engine.

I agree with "so far" as a tornado will only swirl the air after the point it is installed and for only so far down the air stream. On a Dak with the big plenum under the throttle body followed by about 16 inches of runner prior to the injectors, there isn't going to be any swirling going on by then. And swirling plain air isn't going to get you any gains. On a vehicle with a carb or throttle body injection, if you can locate the tornado just prior to it then it "may" help atomize the fuel better.
