Have another question... on my '03 dakota V6, it has recently developed an engine knock. It seems to knock mostly if the truck is traveling uphill in the 2000-3000 rpm range. The engine does not bog down at all. I have tried running high test fuel in the truck and that totally corrects the problem, but I hate to pay the higher price for fuel, plus the truck was made to run on 87 octane...was wondering if anyone has had a similar experience, and if there is a repair for the problem. The truck is an 03 4X4 reg cab v6 5 speed.
