Subject: About tires? IP: Logged
Message: I have read where someone had 2wd dak and
recently put 31/10.5/15 tires and gave that
truck some lift (3 inches I think) without putting
a lift on. Is that a good idea or no? i have the
stock goodyear 215/75/15 and it's 2wd. My
stocks are really crap, no traction in wet
weather.

Message: yea why wouldent it b a good idea? sure ur gas and speed would b hurt alittle and if u want bigger tires and a taller stance why not get the bigger tires? traction in wet weather has to do with the tire not the size of it

Message: I just put new tires on my 98 sport 2wd but I opted for the optional stock size that was the next size bigger. I was running p215/75/15 widetrack baja (fleet farm specials) that came with the truck, absolute crap when they wear down. Now I have LT235/75/15 Toyo Open Country All terrains. Paid a little more for them but a much better tire, stiffer sidewalls to handle the weight better when I haul logs up north. Much better tread design and did give the truck a taller more agressive look.
