Message: I have a '97 V6 and I just wanted to get some info on power for the $. I already have a k&n drop-in (ram air hood in the future if I can gather the money) The only problem is that I need more mpg too. I was thinking a 360 TB off of ebay or something like that. What all do I need to get, and how much is it going to cost me in the end. Thanks. Aaron

Message: would bolting a stock 360 TB up to a 6 really do that much? The idea had crossed my mind, but figured it would require other mods to do much. Let me know, because I have been wanting to spice up the V6.

Message: aaron_eb, I have a 97 dak v6. I installed a v8 Tb that came off a 99 Durango with a 360. Our year of Dak's typically come with TB's that have 42mm throttle plates. The V8 TB's from the factory come with 50mm throttle plates (for 318 as well as 360) and a torque step that reduces the opening to 48mm. The sensors are the same for v6 and the v8's. Before 96 the Dak's used an EGR system, those TB's are different. Get one from a 1997 V8 Dak or Durango, you will need to change Throttle linkage. The 97 v6 has a ball stud on the TB. The 97 v8 has a disk type connection. Check your local boneyard, car-part.com, or sam at South California Dak should have them. If you get one and install it, your computer will have to learn the new setting. When you first start it up the idle speed will go to around 2000 rpm and slow com back down as the computer learns the new setting. Good Luck.

Message: Hey man if you wanna save like $30 then take the bracket off your v6 tb and put it on the v8 tb. It'll bolt right on. and fi the tb sensors don't match ( liek the one i bought) then you can pull the v6's sensors off and switch them. Only two will need to be switched if at all. it does work i put mine on the other day and you can tell the difference. have a friend clock you from 0-60 now Then after you put on the tb. I wish i would have done that. Let me know how it goes.

Message: Hey, I know just who you can talk to ---
His email is mainjet@comcast.net
His name is Scott Hafer
Just tell him that Greg Huggins sent you his way and maybe he'll let you have yours for the same amount I got mine for...
Oh it's a Holley dual 52mm 5.9l performance throttle body and he evedently builds them or something like that... It comes with all sensors and your throttle bracket... All you have to do is bolt it up to yours... It doesn't come with new gasket, so you'll have to get that one yourself:/
If you really want some cheap performance I also recommend looking into ebay "Tornado fuel savor" and look up nukethehut... He sale's them all the time on there... I think you will need Ki-75... Really helps all through the power band and is a great improvement to any vehicle...
Oh the throttle body was $152.00 with shipping and the Tornado is ussually 20 to 40 dollars depending on whether or not your really being be against or not...
I think you'll be very happy with both... and both should bolt and slip right into place ;))
