Subject: Speedometer won't work IP: Logged
Message: My 1993 Dakota V6's speedometer stopped working and it trys to shut off (sometimes it shuts off) when I press the clutch in and starts to slow down. It just quits pretty much everytime I try to slow down. Anyone knows what is up. It has 136,000 miles on it.

Message: As far as your speedometer not working, it sounds like your speed sensor may have come loose. It's hooked up on the tranny if you wanna check.

Message: Well when my speedo went out on my '99 it was the rear
wheel speed sensor. It's located on top of the differential
housing. Wrench off and replace for about $40.
