Message: I installed a set of AP 3923 gapped at .048", I didn't noticed any difference on how my truck is running but with the stock plugs I was at 2000rpm at 70 mph and now 2100 rpm but no change in gas mileage????? It's been now ~950 miles since. That doesn't make any sense to me!

Message: no way in he double toothpicks will changing plugs make the engine run faster at a givin speed, if you did indeed gain 100 rpm at 70 mph either your clutch is slipping-standard tranny or the torque converter is slipping/failing to lockup in a auto tranny, or worse yet becuase it requires the case to be cracked, to fix and that just plain costs more as it take more time, the clutch packs are worn to the point of slipping.

Message: Don't put to much stock in the factory guages
being acurate.
Mine change all the time depending on mosture and
temp.
Pull 1 of the plugs and see if they are tan if
not drop to .045 Once you get a nice tan you
know you are at optimum gap and heat for the
plug. All trucks run a little differant
