Message: Hello,
I have a 93 dakota 3.9, and lately it has had a rough idle problem after it warms up. It starts fine for the first time, then after its been driven and shut off and turned back on right away or within about 15min, it won't idle unless you help it along with your foot, wont stay goin on its own. Anyone have an idea what could be causing this? Any help would be great. Thanks

Message: Try having your crank positioning sensor checked... it may be getting stuck after the engine heats up. Check the IAC too.
Good Luck

Message: I had the same exact problem with mine & fixed it by cleaning the TB & IAC.
Check for stored codes first. If none then reset the PCM. It will idle fine w/the reset until the PCM relearns, usually 250-350 miles.
Then if the idle acts up I would take the TB off the engine & clean it. Will cost about $8 if you do it yourself.
This corrected the idle issue & there was a terrific performance gain on mine....
