i saw on ebay a new shift kit for sale. it is about 40.00 bucks and is just a few springs and such... it is not intended to chirp tires, but to firm up each shift and prolong the trans life.so the guy sais.. my question is, does anyone have one like this or know if they are any good. thanks

If it's the TransGo, I know in the past that Larry strongly recommended it. I think I remember reading that you shouldn't use it on a transmission that's pretty worn out or it could make it go out very quickly. Larry's post mentioned that they would help transmissions last a lot longer though.
