Hey guys. Just got my truck about half a month ago. 93 V6magnum 5 spd. I have 152k on it. But my engine was rebuilt by my Uncle at 110k. Dont know what he put in it. but it's a quick truck.
Anyways.... A kid around town has been following me and wants to race. He has a 96 R/T 5 spd. All he has is a intake. Now. He has a turbo too, but that's not installed. Was wondering what you guys thing the outcome would be in a 1/4 mile. We have a light that's about a quarter.
Also if anyone has any think that will give me some more get up and go. Let me know (Throttle bodies, etc)

Be careful about those R/T's because first of
all their the DOHC motor and can be quick
from that and on top of that if the guy knows
what he is doing that 5 speed can be a
problem too. Just make sure you don't boil
your tires off the line and you might have em'. I
raced a R/T in my 84 2.2. Turbo
convertible...and I got spanked..but that car
was slow for anything...although a spanked a
normal neon...but that my case...go for it...I
would!
BTW get a v8 TB...its worth it and get a 180
T/S...and look for other mods on this
website...there are years worth!

And can I go to a junkyard and get a V8 Throttle body? (sorry to ask so much. Just turned 18, and this is my second car lol)

Get yours from an O'reily's or an autozone...ask for an 180 T/S and they will have an aftermarket one for your truck.
For the TB get one from a Salvage yard and make sure you get the throttle/accelerator cable there...I found out today that salvage yards are better to go to than junk yards cause they have there sh*t on inventory.

BTW the T/S is a more flow T/S than the 195 degree and your dakota runs better overall around 82-87 degrees.
