Subject: Slight air leak engine light code IP: Logged
Message: My engine light comes on for a week and goes off for a week. I went to autozone and they hooked uo the OBDII deal to it and came back with a 2 hundred code (don't remeber exactly) 237, 232, 342? Any way the code read small or slight air leak. Is this a common one hopefully with an easy fix. Here is a list of my mods below. It has been a couple months since it started. Reseting my computer shuts the light off for a while but then it pops back on. Any ideas would be helpful.

Message: On the passenger side of the intake manifold there is a small nipple sticking out with a black rubber plug over it. Check and see if it has deteroriated and cracked. On the Drivers side the vacum hose for the brake boster is attached to the manifold check it out. Look down your throtte body and see if there is any oil on the belly pan it could have a small leak. Happy New year

Message: This would be a EVAP Leak Mon. Small Leak Detected Code. I would suggest removing the gas cap and look in the center of it for rust stains. If so replace the gas cap. We get this alot.

Message: I had the same small EVAP leak code about 1 month ago. Cleared the code and has not come back yet, asssumed it was the gas cap like William states above. Also, I got the code in the morning when we had a big temperature swing outside, like 40 deg overnight. Maybe that fooled the ODBII.

Message: knowing the exact code would be a help, generally 200 series codes are fuel control related.

Message: I went in for a P0441 engine light code (evap. leak) and came out with two others. I think the Dodge dealer bent me over on this one. Are these codes listed anyware? Thanks.
